Terms of Service
Last updated: August 4, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using ToolHive (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. ToolHive provides a collection of free, client-side web tools at toolhive.sbs.
2. Description of Service
ToolHive offers 11 free online tools including PDF editing, resume building, data conversion, invoice generation, color palettes, QR code generation, Markdown editing, text comparison, password generation, timezone conversion, and timecard tracking. All tools process data entirely within your browser. No files, text, or data you provide to a tool are transmitted to, stored by, or processed on our servers.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using ToolHive, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service, its infrastructure, or its advertising delivery.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to artificially inflate ad impressions or interfere with ad delivery.
- Use the tools to generate content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or harmful.
- Misrepresent your identity in connection with contacting ToolHive.
5. No Data Collection
Because all tool processing happens client-side, ToolHive does not collect, store, or process the content you work with. We do not require accounts, and we do not use cookies for tracking. Your use of the tools themselves requires no personal information. Any local preferences you set (such as selected options or history) are stored only in your own browser's localStorage and never leave your device.
6. Advertising
ToolHive displays advertisements through third-party ad networks (including Google AdSense and EthicalAds) to keep the Service free. These networks operate under their own privacy policies and terms. See our Privacy Policy for details about advertising data practices. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements served by third parties.
7. Intellectual Property
The ToolHive name, logo, design system, and original tool code are the property of ToolHive. You may use the Service for personal and commercial purposes as permitted by these terms, but you may not copy, redistribute, or resell the Service or its underlying code without permission. Third-party libraries used by the tools (e.g., PDFLib, PDF.js, jsPDF, marked, jsdiff) remain the property of their respective owners under their own licenses.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Tools that generate outputs (such as PDFs, resumes, invoices, QR codes, passwords, or payroll calculations) are provided for general assistance and convenience. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and legal compliance of any output you rely on. For example, payroll calculations from TimeCard should be verified against your organization's policies, and passwords generated by PassForge should be stored securely by you.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ToolHive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to resolve any disputes related to these terms in an appropriate court of competent jurisdiction.
